Rising 570 feet high, this 27-floor vertical palace spans around 400,000 square feet and is valued at over $2 billion (approximately Rs. 16,500 crore) in 2026.

 Owned by Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, the residence features uniquely designed floors, each as tall as a two-storey building. With a dedicated staff of about 600 people managing daily operations, Mukesh Ambani House is not just a residence but a global icon of ultra-luxury architecture and modern living.

Rising nearly 570 feet, this 27-floor vertical palace spans around 400,000 square feet and is valued at over $2 billion in 2026. Each floor is uniquely designed, with heights comparable to two-storey levels.

The Exterior Architecture 

 Antilia’s exterior architecture is highly distinctive, featuring a sculptural facade of steel, glass, and layered terraces that flow in organic curves rather than uniform floors. Its dramatic W-shaped base adds visual impact, while each level reflects elemental themes like earth, water, fire, air, and sun.

 Glass curtain walls capture light elegantly, and hanging garden terraces inspired by Babylon help reduce heat and cool the structure naturally. Designed by Perkins & Will, it is also engineered to withstand an 8-magnitude earthquake.

Front Entrance & Curb Appeal

 At the ground-floor entrance, grandeur is immediate: towering cream columns rise from an immaculately manicured deep-green lawn that looks almost unreal against the Mumbai streetscape.

 A white temple-style gazebo sits between them, adding classical grace to the modern design. Above, wide cantilevered levels project outward, forming a dramatic shelter, while warm wooden ceiling panels introduce elegance and soften the monumental stone below.

Entering the Home The Foyer

Step through the grand entrance and you are immediately inside a world of refined luxury. The foyer of Antilia features soaring ceiling heights each floor is equivalent to two standard storeys, so the entry hall feels like a cathedral of design.

The flooring uses rare imported marble in warm ivory tones, polished to a mirror-like finish. Crystal chandeliers descend from the ceiling in cascading formations. No two rooms in this entire building share the same design, and it starts right here at the door.

Living Room & Main Living Spaces

The living areas at Antilia are spread across multiple floors, with each designed for a different purpose formal receiving, family relaxation, and grand entertainment.

The main family living space uses a palette of muted golds, deep navies, and warm earth tones, combining modern furniture with carefully selected Indian art pieces curated by Nita Ambani. The windows in these rooms are floor-to-ceiling, giving sweeping views of South Mumbai and, from the upper floors, the Arabian Sea.

Dining Area

The dining spaces inside Antilia are designed for both intimate family meals and large formal gatherings. The formal dining room features a long custom table that can seat multiple guests, surrounded by handcrafted chairs upholstered in rich fabrics.

The lighting over the dining table is a signature design element  layered chandeliers that can be dimmed or brightened depending on the occasion. Natural light flows through large glass panels during the day, making the space feel open and airy.

Kitchen

The kitchen inside Antilia is a professional-grade culinary space. It features custom-built cabinetry in rich wood finishes combined with high-gloss lacquered panels. The countertops use imported stone surfaces that are both durable and beautiful.

The appliances are top-of-the-line European brands, and the layout includes a large island workspace that serves as both a prep area and a casual eating counter. Given that 600 staff members run this home, the kitchen operations here would put a five-star hotel kitchen to shame.

 Master Bedroom Suite

The master bedroom suite occupies an entire private floor of Antilia. The bedroom itself is designed for ultimate comfort and privacy  thick sound-insulated walls, blackout window treatments, and custom Italian furniture create a sanctuary above the Mumbai skyline.

The suite includes a large walk-in wardrobe, a private sitting area, and direct access to a terrace with panoramic views. The ceiling design and lighting in the master bedroom are bespoke, with warm indirect lighting that can be adjusted through the home’s smart control system.

Bathrooms

Antilia has multiple bathroom suites throughout the property, and each one is finished to spa-level standards. The materials used are predominantly Italian marble Carrara white for the walls and floors, onyx for the countertops, and custom-designed fixtures in gold and chrome finishes.

The master bathroom features a deep-soak freestanding bathtub, a rainfall shower with multiple body jets, heated flooring, and an integrated sound system. The vanity units are custom-designed with generous storage and mirror-lit panels.

Snow Room

One of Antilia’s most talked-about features is its snow room. In the middle of Mumbai’s humid tropical climate, the Ambani family has a room where the walls produce artificial snowflakes on demand.

This is essentially a personal winter wonderland  a cooling retreat unlike anything else in any private home in the world. The room is climate-controlled to create a sub-zero environment that provides a dramatic contrast to Mumbai’s heat outside.

Outdoor Living

As of 2026, the estimated value of the property stands at over Rs. 16,500 crore driven by the near-zero supply of land on Altamount Road and the continued appreciation of South Mumbai luxury real estate, which has grown at an average of 11.2% annually over the past decade.
